The construction of this magnificent Catholic Church included a total floor area of 28,174 SF and is a monumental addition to the city of College Station and Texas A&M University. St. Mary’s Church will be a place of worship, reflection, and community gathering, designed to serve this community and foster a spiritually enriching environment. The church’s architectural design reflected traditional Catholic aesthetics while incorporating contemporary elements to create a timeless and inspiring space. The structure featured an impressive 50-foot diameter dome, intricate masonry, and roof lines, along with soaring ceilings and grand archways. The focal points of the interior design are hand-painted murals depicting biblical scenes, saints, and important moments from the Catholic tradition. These are complemented by the extravagant terrazzo and marble tile flooring incorporated throughout the building.
